Little Owl–The Venue
When Joey Campanaro opened the Little Owl back in 2006 with only 10 tables and irresistible meatball sliders, the tiny American bistro was the hottest ticket in town—and hard as hell to get into. Nothing’s changed there, but with the opening last year of Little Owl–The Venue—in a different part of the Village—having Campanaro (shown here) on hand to whip up a simple-but-delicious dinner created a new waiting list. Well, we’ve pushed you to the head of the class with a phatty invite just for BBE members—to an all-you-can-eat summer crab boil at Little Owl–The Venue on Wednesday night, September 7. (Get your passcode right away; they’ll go fast.) But guess who else is coming to dinner? Mike Price, chef at Little Owl’s sister restaurant, Market Table, will also be behind the crab pot, cooking with Campanaro. (P.S. He’s from a town on the Chesapeake Bay, so he knows his crabs.) Be prepared for the freshest crabs, cooked with Old Bay and beer, plus a heap of vegetables to soak up the flavor of the spicy broth.

This is a party, so think of the room as one big communal table, complete with a high-top or two.

Martha Stewart made Little Owl–The Venue, well, the venue, for her pop-up pie shop; Eater NY threw its Cinco de Mayo party here.
